Can Astrology Describe Our Destiny or Life Purpose?

Great talk, it has really helped me as an astrologer in training. I already do readings to people who sincerely ask for them, and I get this all the time – will I meet someone, marry etc. I try to tune into the more subtle energies of the chart and hear the deeper messages the chart is trying to reveal or share. I say to myself ‘what information/wisdom will help this person the most in their current quest/question’ and I share that carefully. I help the person to ponder on the energies that lie beneath their surface questions to see if it triggers a new way of thinking. Often people get stuck in a repeating loop of same thinking, especially when it comes to say relationship or child questions, and what I seek to do is perhaps see the reason for that, the lesson in there, and pose my thoughts in a way that might just break that loop and take them off on a different way of thinking. Once a woman came to me who just continuously struggled to find her ‘one true love’ and was desperate to know when/how she would find him as she felt it would complete here. She has Neptune square Venus in Pisces, in 7th House – idealism in love. I asked her to explain what being in Love felt like to her, and what was it that eventually ended that relationship or meant that she hadn’t yet found it and as she explained it she discovered herself that her idea of love was very dreamy and ‘movie’ like. It is like finding the challenges in the chart, asking potent questions in order to get the client to reflect back their own answers to themselves. To me, a chart has its own intuition and its own voice and drive to express and share itself with an astrologer – and the art is in hearing those finer messages and trusting them enough to share them. It’s mediumship/channelling blended with science – a very Aquarian thing for sure! I suppose I’m fairly good at this because of my Neptune in 12th, venus in Pisces and Uranus in Sagg!
