Relationship astrology endlessly engages us in examining and reflecting on our close connections. In this series of classes, we focus on astrological themes that assist us to more deeply understand our intimate adult relationships.
Class 1 Nodal Systems: Angles on relationship
We begin by orientating ourselves to relationship through the angles of the horoscope, starting with the horizon of the Ascendant-Descendant, where the other is often first visible. Then we will explore the median axis of the MC-IC where relationship is involved with the private and public worlds. Of interest is the third axis of the Vertex-Antivertex, which speaks to relational agendas and patterns that present through intimate contact. Finally, what is this force or fate that brings two people to the same crossroads at the same time? – a look into the Nodes.

While behavioral psychology talks of attachments styles, astrology considers our personal bonding patterns and experiences, as well as specifying our own unique attachment patterns. In this class we will look back to our ancestral and familial legacies to become more conscious of those patterns that we carry with us into our adult relationships and how the past is always present.
Class 3 The Presence of Absence: Does absence make the heart grow fonder?
What makes a horoscope whole is not only what is there, but also what is not. The voids and missingness of our birth chart is often encountered through engagement and relationship. A missing element or modality, a lack of aspect, an empty house, an unaspected planet, may find new meaning and focus through relationship. In this class we will consider how our lacks turn into strengths through the mirror of our relationships.
Class 4 Intimate Others: Shared soul space
What sustains and maintains relationship? Relationship astrology is a vast study. In this class we will consider astrological practice that help us to stand back and get a look at what happens in the relationship, drawing on techniques like chart comparison and composite charts that study the dynamics and changes that take place in a specific relationship. We will draw attention to the factors that assist us to be more authentic and truer to our self in relationship.

This class will serve as a review and overview of the engaging study of relationship through an astrological lens – let’s address some of the questions that have arisen or are on your mind and use some of your horoscopes as examples.
