The synodic cycle of Mars is asymmetrical and its retrograde phases unevenly distributed amongst the twelve zodiacal divisions. While transiting Mars will be retrograde in tropical Leo occur regularly every 15-17 years, its retrograde transit through tropical Aquarius is considerably more rare, occurring just once every 32-47 years. In fact, 2018 sees the first Mars retrograde transit in Aquarius since 1971.
This webinar covers background on how this recurring small interval in time has played out in individual and collective lives over the past few centuries.
