USI chose this lesson mostly because of the title having no idea what I was getting into....Well, fellow students, grab your pencil and notebook and pay attention! :) This webinar made me think, question and learn!! It was quite an amazing experience and I highly suggest it to any beyond-just-beginner student of astrology. Happy learning!
The first section on the spiritual meanings correlated with the glyphs is fascinating and I learned a lot. A lot of this class involves dialogue and discussion with his students and it works well here. He has them participate with him in speculating on the glyphs for the outer planets and I find this thought-provoking. This is a challenging topic to talk on, and I don’t know if any other teacher could do such a good job as Mr. Blaschke does. Lots of material and lots of stimulating discussion. It is interesting to hear his students learn about their “personal spiritual rays” and then speak of their own experience of the energies of these rays, or spiritual forces, in their lives. I have to admit I can’t yet relate to the ray for my own ascendant, and since none of his students have my type of ray, he doesn’t talk about that one much. I am realizing that I will have to use this class as a motivating boost to do further research on these topics. I would recommend this recording to those who are curious about the esoteric astrology of the early Theosophists, and like me are looking to delve into deeper spiritual dimensions of astrology. I have to thank Robert Blaschke (I wish he was still here!) for not only his own hard work, but also for inspiring me to further research the writings of earlier astrologers like Alan Leo, C.E.O. Carter, Marc E. Jones, and Dane Rudhyar.
