“Among several one and two-year astrology programs I’ve studied in, Astrology University’s 4-Year Certification program is, in my view, the absolute best. The sequence of courses is such that each course and each year build on the ones before it. Four-week courses allow for both an introduction to and an immersion in a topic.
Each four-week course is taught by an expert astrologer who also – very importantly – has excellent teaching skills. That means that beyond just giving a good powerpoint lecture, the teachers are responsive to questions and create an open atmosphere for discussion during weekly Q&A sessions.
Homework assignments are progressively more in-depth and intellectually challenging, designed to have students demonstrate a true understanding of the material. The assignments give me a mental work-out and a sense of accomplishment. AU’s courses are conceived of and taught at a university level.
The courses are also taught with great, heartful care. Tony and the other teachers create an online environment in which a very diverse group of students (by age, ethnicity, geographic location) feel comfortable asking questions and sharing knowledge of our own charts.
With numerous teachers, we are learning many different “takes” on astrological issues. Yet there’s a coherent, reliable set of values here: astrology at its best is kind and helpful. We also have a lot of fun.“
