A house is the place we inhabit, an archetypal symbol of shelter that contains many stories. Similarly, an astrological house has many layers, literally and metaphorically: on the surface we see its substance, but its other floors contain emotional, psychological and soulful stories. In this course we will excavate each house to find its deeper resonances.Â
We begin our archaeological investigation with ways of thinking about the topography of the astrological houses. Then we will explore the layers and stories of each house literally, metaphorically, psychologically and soulfully. In this five-part series we begin with an overview and working model for all twelve houses, then in the following classes we will examine each house in depth:
Houses 1, 5 and 9 The Houses of Life: Birth, Creativity & ConceptionÂ
Houses 2, 6 and 10 The Houses of Substance: Worth, Work and Vocation
Houses 3, 7 and 11 The Houses of Relationship: Sibship, Partnership & Friendship
Houses 4, 8 and 12 The Houses of Endings: Attachment, Intimacy & Ancestry
Each student will receive comprehensive notes.
Join us for an enriching and heartening exploration of the topography of the astrological houses.Â
