Lynn Bell
LYNN BELL

Faculty Astrologer

Lynn Bell is a Paris-based astrologer whose work emphasizes the psychological and healing dimensions of astrology. In the 1990s she taught at the Centre for Psychological Astrology, founded by Liz Greene and Howard Sasportas. Lynn lectures and teaches seminars around the world and has had a vibrant astrology consulting practice for many years.

Outside the world of astrology, she collaborates with Caroline Myss and her CMED Institute. She has been part of the faculty of the New Chartres School hosted in Chartres, France by Wisdom University. Lynn is the author of Planetary Threads and Cycles of Light.

Darby Costello
DARBY COSTELLO

Faculty Astrologer

Darby Costello began her astrology studies in the 1960s with Francis Sakoian, Louis Acker and Isabel Hickey. In 1988 she began teaching at the Centre for Psychological Astrology, founded by Liz Greene and Howard Sasportas.

In 2006 Darby received a Master’s Degree in “Cultural Astronomy and Astrology” at Bath Spa University.

Darby’s first love in astrology is doing charts and her worldwide clientele is the ground out of which her astrological inspiration is nourished. Her teaching demonstrates her fascination with the personal dynamics revealed in the birth chart as well as her commitment to allow an active unfolding of archetypal patterns in every moment, so that her work remains engaging and fresh, both for herself and her students.

In 2013 she received the Charles Harvey Award for Exceptional Service to Astrology.

Darby is the author of The Astrological Moon, Water & Fire, and Earth & Air.

Brian Clark is the creator of the Astro*Synthesis Collection in Applied Astrology shaped from his experience as an astrological student and educator over the past 40+ years. His work has been described as poetic, infused with the years of wisdom gained from consulting others, and a deep care and respect for the human experience.

Brian is the author of several modern astrology classics, including Soul, Symbol and Imagination: the Artistry of Astrology.

He has his MA in Classics and Archaeology from the University of Melbourne and has been honored with lifetime membership from the state, national and professional astrological organizations in Australia.

Gianni Di Poce is the program director of the Merriman Market Timing Academy (MMTA2) and an MMA analyst covering a span of different markets. Gianni reports on T-Notes for the MMA Monthly Cycles Report, as well as the Australian markets (index and currency), Cannabis, and Live Cattle for the International Cycles Reports. Gianni is the editor for the MMA Crude Oil Report, which provides daily, weekly, and monthly updates for subscribers. Gianni holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, and served as a financial adviser for 5 years.

Carol Ferris
Carol Ferris

Faculty Astrologer

Carol Ferris, M.A., practices astrology in Portland, Oregon, where she consults with clients; teaches and tutors; and writes.  She completed her Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies at Marylhurst University, Lake Oswego, Oregon, in 2013.  The title of her thesis, “The Sky’s Body: Constellations and Medicine” reflects her ongoing interest in the nature-based medicine and governance thinking of ancient Near East and Chinese philosophers and astrologers.

For the past two years, Carol has been a regular presenter at the Salome Institute, Portland OR, lecturing regularly on the work of Carl Jung – the Red Book and most recently, Jung’s Black Books, and discussing Jung’s astrological nature and work.

Steven Forrest
Steven Forrest

Faculty Astrologer

Steven Forrest is one of the most well-known and accomplished astrologers on the planet. He received a B.A. in Religion in 1971 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and shortly thereafter began to establish his astrological practice. In 1984, Bantam Books published his first book, The Inner Sky. Esquire magazine called it “intelligent, well-written and actually fun.” Since then he has published several astrology classics including the complete cookbook series The Book of Water, The Book of Fire, The Book of Earth, and The Book of Air.

Steven’s teaching skill is masterful and methodical, and many of his students have become well-known professional astrologers in their own right. In 2018 he was honored with the Regulus Award for excellence in astrological instruction.

Demetra George
DEMETRA GEORGE

Faculty Astrologer

Demetra George received her Masters degree in Classics from the University of Oregon, where she was also an instructor. She has been active in astrology since 1971, and in 2002 she received the renowned Regulus Award in Theory and Understanding.

Specializing in archetypal mythology and ancient techniques, she is the author of several classic astrology books including Asteroid GoddessesAstrology for YourselfMysteries of the Dark MoonFinding Our Way through the Dark, and Ancient Astrology in Theory and Practice.

Demetra specializes in the fundamentals of interpretation, chart delineation, Hellenistic astrology, and mythic asteroids. She has taught the history of astrology at the University of Oregon, and lives in Eugene, Oregon.

Karen Hamaker-Zondag
KAREN HAMAKER-Zondag

Faculty Astrologer

Karen Hamaker-Zondag started her astrological practice in 1975. She is a founding member of two schools in Holland: an astrological school, Stichting Achernar, founded in 1980, and a school of Jungian psychology, Stichting Orderir, founded 1987.

A leading astrologer in Holland she also lectures extensively throughout the world and first began lecturing for the CPA in 1997.

She is the author of many astrological books including Foundations of PersonalityPsychological Astrology, The Yod Book and The House Connection.

Laurence Hillman
Laurence Hillman

Laurence Hillman is a full-time professional astrologer/consultant and specializes in helping his clients understand their deeper purpose and their life’s calling – especially in these challenging times.

A force in the ongoing movement to merge astrology with depth psychology, his approach is practical and full of metaphor and Jungian insight.

He lectures and teaches internationally. At the Cycles & Symbols Conference in California, he co-presented with his father, James Hillman. He has also taught at Jean Houston’s Mystery School, at Pacifica Graduate InstituteFindhorn, and Washington University in St. Louis.

Jason Holley
JASON HOLLEY

Faculty Astrologer

Jason Holley is a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC) and a faculty member at Southwestern College, a consciousness-oriented graduate school awarding masters degrees in Counseling and Art Therapy. He works with astrology as an adjunct to psychotherapy — a way of hearing from the psyche akin to work with dreams and images. He lectures in Santa Fe and at national and regional astrology conferences.

Jason’s teaching is richly informed by his psychological client work, but equally infused with his love of myth. He has a unique talent for making myth come alive in a way that’s both easy to understand, but also leads to deep reflection on astrological signatures. Students interested in delving into the complexity of the psyche will love his work.

Cheryl Hopkins
CHERYL HOPKINS

Cheryl Hopkins is an astrologer and mentor.

She apprenticed with her first teacher learning astrology, spiritual wisdom and energetic healing in the early 1990s. She has studied with several master astrology teachers and is a level II certificate holder in Steven Forrest’s Evolutionary Astrology Apprenticeship Program.

Cheryl has presented at regional, international and online conferences and has guested on podcasts and radio shows.

She resides in the Charlottesville, VA area resident.

Tony Howard astrologer
TONY HOWARD

Tony Howard graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Colorado. His degree in history and film turned out to be the perfect precursor to his career in astrology,  which includes a focus on historical research and chart analysis. His writing has been featured in The Mountain Astrologer magazine and in the anthologies: Astrology, the Next Generation and The Book of Music Horoscopes.

Tony is passionate about helping new astrologers find their voice and teaching students to  support clients through compassionate mirroring, empowering language and sharing practical tools for conscious co-creative engagement with life.

MARK JONES

Mark Jones is an astrologer, psychosynthesis therapist and author based in Bristol, England. Mark is a regular speaker and workshop leader in North America, Europe and Australia.

His first book Healing the Soul: Pluto, Uranus and the Lunar Nodes is an excellent introduction to his work as an evolutionary astrologer. His second book The Soul Speaks: The Therapeutic Potential of Astrology, explores the transformative power of the natal chart reading while offering invaluable counseling skills to astrologers.

His third book is a groundbreaking study of the planetary nodes: The Planetary Nodes and Collective Evolution.

Keiron Le Grice

Keiron Le Grice is a professor of depth psychology in the Jungian and Archetypal Studies specialization at Pacifica Graduate Institute, California, where for many years he has taught courses on a range of topics including archetypes, individuation, alchemy, synchronicity, and astrology. He also serves as an honorary lecturer in the Department of Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies at the University of Essex.

He is the author of several books including The Archetypal Cosmos, The Rebirth of the Hero, and the three-volume The Way of the Archetypes, co-editor of Jung on Astrology. He is the founder and former co-editor of Archai: The Journal of Archetypal Cosmology. In 2016, with colleagues he established the Institute of Transpersonal and Archetypal Studies (ITAS) and its associated publishing wing, ITAS Publications.

Alejo López, D.F.Astol.S., was born in Argentina and now resides in Europe. He holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Performing Arts and Psychology, in addition to a Diploma from the Faculty of Astrological Studies Diploma. His interests outside astrology include myths, spiritual practices, shamanism and Kabbalah. Alejo believes that once you learn astrology, you can never be alone, for the planets will always speak to you and guide you.

Jessica Murray astrologer
JESSICA MURRAY

Jessica Murray is an astrologer and writer who brings to light the spiritual underpinnings that shape both the personal and collective experience of our time. In her private practice, Jessica draws from her knowledge of many metaphysical traditions to provide her clients with a sense of the big picture. Her readers and students are given an understanding of how they might respond, rather than merely react, to these turbulent times.

Jessica graduated from Brown University, where she studied Jungian psychology and linguistics. After a few years in a political theatre troupe, Jessica began a study of the symbolic language of archetypes, and has been practicing and teaching astrology in San Francisco for thirty-five years.

Jessica writes the popular astrology blog Mother Sky. Her books include Soul-Sick Nation: An Astrologer’s View of America and At the Crossroads: An Astrologer Looks at these Turbulent Times.

Melanie Reinhart
MELANIE REINHART

Melanie Reinhart is best known for her book Chiron and the Healing Journey, and her research on Chiron and the centaurs Chariklo, Nessus and Pholus. She is a prize-winning diploma holder of the Faculty of Astrological Studies in the UK (Margaret Hone Award 1979). She was awarded the prestigious Charles Harvey Award in 2004, given by the Astrological Association of Great Britain for ‘exceptional service to astrology’.

Melanie has taught for many highly esteemed astrology schools and local groups in the UK and abroad.

Currently living in rural Bedfordshire, Melanie maintains a busy consulting practice with an international clientele. This intimate use of astrology as a vehicle for personal guidance is the heart and soul of her astrological work.

Safron Rossi, Ph.D., has spent her life steeped in literature, religion and mythology, fields in which she holds her degrees. Core Faculty at Pacifica Graduate Institute in the Jungian and Archetypal Studies MA/PhD program, Safron teaches courses on Greek mythology, archetypal cosmology & astrology, and scholarly praxis. Formerly she was Curator of the Joseph Campbell and James Hillman archives.

Safron is the author of  The Kore Goddess: A Mythology & Psychology, editor of Joseph Campbell’s Goddesses: Mysteries of the Feminine Divine (2013), and co-editor of Jung on Astrology (2017). Safron is also a consulting astrologer.

Carole Taylor
Carole Taylor

Carole Taylor worked at the Faculty of Astrological Studies for 23 years, taking roles as Director of Studies, Vice President and President, and teaching the Foundation and Diploma courses. Her approach to astrology approach is governed by a deep interest in myth, symbol, archetype and psychology, in particular the work of Carl Jung and James Hillman. She was a reflexologist for several years and retains an ongoing interest in the field of complementary health and wellbeing.

Carole holds an honours degree in Geography from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Myth, Cosmology and the Sacred from Canterbury Christ Church University. She is a tutor on the MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology at the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David.

Kim discovered astrology at the end of the 1980s and since then it has enhanced her life in countless ways. She has tutored generations of students over the last thirty years in UK classes and internationally. She is a contributor
to the volumes Journey Through Astrology and The Book of Music Horoscopes
and the author of the booklet Astro Mind Maps and has had articles published in TMA and the AA Journal. She describes her own approach to the art as “the practise of applied imagination.” Kim consults from home as well as worldwide online, in addition to having a second more recent vocation as an independent funeral celebrant. She lives in central London with her beloved and is also a
vegan cook and a poet.
