With Saturn in Pisces, the old god, Cronus/Saturn, is moving in the realm of Poseidon/Neptune, a generational inheritor of the waters of the cosmos. “Xenia” is the Greek word for “the sacred obligations of hospitality” – for both host and guest. Each has a duty to not harm the other, and the host has the responsibility to offer hospitality. If we reflect on the old rules of host and guest, what are the obligations of each? How does Neptune, at home in the Piscean realm, offer sacred hospitality? How does Saturn accept honorably?
In this webinar, we’ll spend some time looking at the elemental and psychic realm of the sea, at the lineage from the fresh waters that girdle the earth to the oceans of Neptune’s power. We’ll contemplate the form and structure on offer from Saturn, who brings vast resources to Pisces.
We’ll look at several example charts of Saturn in Pisces, discover the ways in which each one express their Saturn in Pisces in unique ways, including: a Christian martyr, a celebrity drug-loving rehabilitated actor, a Black Republican American Senator, a Chicago gangster, and a world-famous author.
We’ll also look at the relationship of Neptune and Saturn in the mystic Kabbalah, where Neptune is Keter on the Tree of Life and Saturn is Binah: how does the divine manifest in the form?
Finally, we’ll imagine crossing the bar: that mysterious intersection where fresh water meets salt water, and the shoals and currents that can impede the safe passage between the two.
“Some say that all gods and all living creatures originated in the stream of Oceanus which girdles the world, and that Tethys was the mother of all his children.” – The Greek Myths by Robert Graves
