Jason Holley continues his mythic tour of the zodiac in this thought-provoking webinar on the Capricorn archetype.
Discovering the Antelope of the Deep Waters
The strange-seeming image of the ‘sea goat’ evokes an older consciousness in which forms overlapped and were considerably less distinct than our sharper modern gaze. We’ve mostly tethered Capricorn to the goat part of the picture, but when we re-member the image of goat and fish, we open our imaginations to an archetype of much greater complexity and depth.
Known to the Mesopotamians as the “Antelope of the Deep Waters”, to the Arcadian Greeks as Pan, and to the classical Greeks as Almathea the Nanny Goat.
As Saturn begins its transit through Capricorn, joining Pluto and later Jupiter, this webinar will offer fresh mythological and psychological material drawn from the ancient stories of the constellation and from the lives of some Capricorn individuals to help creatively dream and re-dream this archetype for our times.
