Learn how to use the core principles of progressions to track the timing of personal growth with Steven Forrest.
Progressions are the DNA of your birthchart, predicting the timing of developmental themes – and sometimes of developmental crises. They mark the time and evolution of our natal planetary placements as we age and grow throughout our life.
Unlike transits, which we can all experience simultaneously, like the transit of Pluto is Capricorn, the progressions are purely personal, unique and internal. But, just like transits, in practice they are simply points that move around the chart, forming aspects, triggering development and precipitating biographical events.
Doing predictive astrology using only transits is like eating an egg without salt. Something fundamental is missing. Astrologers are often intimidated by progressions, but they are no more complex than working with transits.
In this course you’ll learn how to start working with the progressed Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Ascendant and Midheaven. Steven will introduce you the inner meaning, synchronistic correlates, and potential dysfunctions of each one of these core planets. (The progressions of the rest of the planets are so slow that we leave them out of the practical toolbox.)

Steven Forrest is one of the most well-known and accomplished astrologers on the planet. He received a B.A. in Religion in 1971 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and started his astrological practice shortly thereafter. In 1984, Bantam Books published his first book, The Inner Sky and the rest is history. The book has gone on to be an international bestseller and continues to enthrall audiences to this day.
Since then Steven has rolled out many more astrology classics including The Changing Sky, Yesterday’s Sky, The Book of Neptune, and The Night Speaks. Steven heads the largest astrological apprentice training program, teaching students in several countries. His teaching skill is stellar, and students return to the program year after year, even long after becoming professional astrologers and writers themselves.
