Sacred Activism – Living in Both Inner and Outer Worlds

with Jessica Murray

In this presentation Jessica discusses the false split between spiritual search and social consciousness. It is time to challenge the very old idea, originating in religious thinking, that if we’re dedicated to self-inquiry we can’t also be responsive to the world’s problems. The urgencies of our era are calling upon us to heal this breach, and astrological symbolism can help us understand how. Jessica will address what our charts tell us about how to work on our individual consciousness while not ignoring the serious issues that beset our greater world.

Sacred Activism

Jessica Murray is a GEM! She is articulate and highly intelligent. She presents so much history and information, looking very hard at the nature of reality and our place in it. She does not pull her punches. The responsibility of the world and of the future rests on all of our shoulders. Like it or not, its not very pretty... but neither is it hopeless. What Jessica does is treat her listeners like the adults that they are. She presents both sides of the energies and offers them to you to choose your own path and how you work with it. So often we want to give our own power away - to a Teacher or Guru or anyone who will tell us how to be and think and what to say so that it will all be alright. Jessica Murray, like all the best Teachers, is not having any of that - she gives your power right back to you and asks you what you think, and how this or that makes you feel. You will not come away from this lecture with a to do list of things to tick off or a new way to be and do so that you are not only politically correct, but making a difference and not feeling guilty about any of it. The issues that face our times are legion and multifaceted - they are complex. They require a complex, multifaceted approach from as many angles as possible. Jessica shows us how to work that angle - to see what it all really means in the big and little pictures and how to go about reframing our thinking so that we actually WANT to explore more deeply how to take responsibility and hold up our own personal end. This is a lecture that you can listen to over and over and continue to pick up new ways to be inspired along those lines. I can't recommend her enough.
