2-part webinar with Karen Hamaker-Zondag

The discovery of the minor planet Sedna was one of the more important ones for astronomy in the last decades, as it proved the existence of the so-called Oort-cloud, an almost empty space outside the Kuiper Belt, the boundaries of which possibly touch an adjacent star system.

Mythologically, Sedna is an Inuit goddess of the sea and protector of nature and humanity. It is said that when the goddess is angry because humans have been dishonest, she reacts with violent storms and seas.

In March 2004, Sedna’s discovery was made public. In December 2004, we saw a tsunami and in 2005 hurricane Katrina. Is this a coincidence? What could Sedna’s astrological meaning be?

In this webinar, Karen’s research will take you on a breathtaking journey in which we explore the astronomical background, Sedna’s myth, and its interpretation from a Jungian perspective. Karen will consider many examples of Sedna in the charts of nations, events and people. From the examples we can derive ideas for a personal and mundane interpretation of Sedna, including a consideration of finding new balance between humanity and nature.
