Pluto IN AQUARIUS

Titanic Shifts and Collective Opportunities

LECTURE DESCRIPTIONS

Lynn Bell

We’re In This Together

Pluto in Aquarius calls us together. To truly meet the other, we may need to sidestep external chatter that seeks to divide us into  friends and  enemies. Aquarius is about the power of seeing the other as both equal and unique, Pluto dismantles the old hierarchies, but not without resistance. How will we find each other? Our transformation comes with the recognition of the stranger who is just a few breaths away from becoming the Friend.

Who Are We? Where Do We Belong?

What will Pluto in Aquarius call from us as individuals, and as communities?  How can we prepare ourselves for its demands?  Pluto throws us into the dark and after a time we may begin to develop new identities in relation to our own ideals and to our communities.  We shall explore what that might mean here.

STEVEN FORREST

Crafting Our Response to Pluto in Aquarius

What if we “happened to Pluto in Aquarius” rather than it happening to us? Join Steven Forrest for an honest, challenging, but ultimately empowering look at the next couple of decades. Pluto always involves doing some shadow work – facing uncomfortable truths about ourselves. Despite the headlines, many of us have done well with Pluto’s passage through Capricorn. That prepares us to lead the way into a new vision of the human future as Pluto transitions into Aquarius. We’ll gaze into the mirror of history, but our aim won’t be to use it to “make predictions.” Instead we will use what we learn from the past to guide us into creating a better tomorrow.

MARK JONES

The New Fire: Advances in Technology and Social Infrastructure

In this lecture, Mark examines the changing impacts of Pluto in Aquarius using historic examples of previous transits through Aquarius to analyse possible outcomes for Pluto’s impending egress.  Starting with the Copernican revolution, which repositioned the place of the Earth in the Cosmos, from the centre to the periphery, Mark then presents an in-depth analysis of the last Pluto Aquarius period in the late 18th century, which coincided with the Industrial Revolution, the French Revolution and the establishment of the United States as a fully independent republic.

An image central to this exploration comes from the significant work of Pluto in 29 degrees Aquarius writer, Mary Shelley. Her Frankenstein – Or The Modern Prometheus offers a clear symbol of the challenges and ambivalences facing us as a species during this monumental period in history.

At the close of 2020, Mark published his book The Planetary Nodes & Collective Evolution. Drawing on this work, Mark will show the importance of the nodes of Neptune whose South Node is in early Aquarius. Pluto will transit this point by 2030 and we will explore the implications of that, considering, for example, the 1945 Pluto transit over the North node of Neptune in Leo when Japan experienced the twin traumas of Hiroshima and the Holocaust.

With this in mind, Mark poses the question: how can something that reveals the dark side of the human relationship to creativity be utilised by us for personal and collective empowerment?

To this end, Mark ends the talk with an exploration of the image of Aquarius. With Aquarius often being adopted as the symbol for astrology – what role might astrologers play in re-imagining our collective purpose and how can that potent symbol of the water bearer invite us to embrace our own transformative vision?

Presented live on March 25 at 9am Pacific time.

When the Old Sign Dies and the New One is Born

When an outer planet changes sign, the dregs of the old seem to be saved for the very last, and the shock of the new sign competes in intensity. In this session we will examine the transitions of 2023 and how they have operated in the past as a marker for what we can expect with this new change of perspective about Pluto.

Jessica Murray

The Crisis of Being Human

Jessica looks at the themes likely to arise during Pluto’s tenure in Aquarius, from 2024 to 2044. She will reflect on how Pluto’s time in Capricorn has prepared us for the transit ahead: how the breakdown of certain social certainties — among them, capitalism, democracy and citizen privacy — will force us to upgrade our attitudes and institutions.

Along with supporting transits, such as the Great Mutation of Jupiter and Saturn, Pluto in Aquarius will challenge humanity to find its place in a world where technology is racing ahead; where online connection, automation and artificial intelligence are forcing us to change, ready or not.

As the new Pluto chapter plays out against a backdrop of climate change and its accompanying demographic and economic shifts, individual self-expression will have to find new creative forms.

This talk was previously offered as a webinar and is included here as a bonus lecture for instant viewing. / 1 hr. 35 min.

Reconnect with Passion Please

Pluto in Aquarius has two very different sides; this is something we know, when we talk about this archetype, since it always tends to extremes. It is either the most intense energy to further passion and creativity and on the other side it is the desire to control the life forces within one’s one realm of imagination.

The first version is the result of an attitude towards life that dedicates its power to vitality. The second version is the consequence of a profound mistrust and a deep lack of confidence into life and oneself.

What could be the potential expressions of both possibilities in the near future and where and how can we see them in the charts of political leaders or other people from public life?

This transit is highly significant, because it is the first conjunction of an outer planet with the degree of the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction from December 12th in 2020, which marked the beginning of a new 200-year epoch: the kingdom of air.

We will interpret Pluto at 0° Aquarius in the 12 astrological houses, so everyone can have an insight into one’s personal task in the new epoch.
