Tony: This is the Astrology University podcast helping you find inspiration, insight and connection through the study of astrology. And I’m your host, Tony Howard.

Vanessa Montgomery: Hi and welcome back to the Cosmic Eye monthly forecast Taurus season. I’m your host Vanessa Montgomery for the Astrology University podcast and today we have representing the earth signs or the earth aspect is Fernanda Paiva. Hi, welcome Fernanda, so Fernanda is Brazilian originally currently living in London soon to be based in Greece, humanistic psychological modern astrologer so we’re talking all things Taurus and Taurus season. Happy Taurus season everybody. Taurus of course, is personal fixed earth, it’s mid-season because the fixed is always the mid-spring in this case. The weather is stable and Taurus is all about being a stable table. Stabilizing spring. Well, spring in the northern hemisphere where I am in Australia obviously the southern hemisphere it’s mid-autumn but we still have that fixedness. So let’s go with the northern hem, which is you know, fertility the sprouts have sprouted. The flowers are blooming and it’s all about fertility. We’ve got the maypole. And we’ve just had Easter which is eggs and the rabbits and again that fertility and life, new life blossoming and now coming into stabilizing as well. So ruled by Venus, also rules the throat. The mottos are I have, I stabilize. I like to say show me the money and mine. Mine. What do you think Fernanda? Any particular keywords you like for Taurus?

Fernanda Paiva: Well, definitely, I mean, a lot of what you said, I definitely think about it as well when I think about Taurus, but also sensuality, I think is a big one. And one of the things that I really love about Taurus, and I find very inspiring as well, being someone that has Scorpio rising. I find really inspiring these more stabilizing characteristics of Taurus, being grounded, being present in your senses in your body, and not only being present in your system in your body, but enjoying it. Every mouthful that you have and every fabric that you know, it is lush, and is soft, and just that joy that you see in Taurans when they’re having a little massage or being touched.

Vanessa: Or you bring out a nice big cake.

Fernanda:  Yeah, exactly. They’re always thinking, you know, I checked with a Tauran friend of mine, and she was always the one thinking about the foods, making sure that we had sandwiches. And it was just really lovely. Like, it’s the Venusian. Yes, the Venusian side of it, isn’t it, like knowing how to enjoy themselves in a very earthy way that I find really inspiring, and I really enjoy it. Yeah, like to see and I find it very attractive. The calmness, the placidity, they take a while to get angry. And you know, there’s a sense of patience, slowly building something which I also find very, very appealing about Taurus. There are shadows as well, right. Like every sign would have, we don’t just have the good or the bad.

Vanessa: I actually didn’t write that many pitfalls for Taurus, for some strange reason. But I think you’ve got a few extra ones. I would say yes. The five senses. Definitely, you know, it’s all about those five senses. And yeah, it’s true. Like really, you know, having good senses like a great sense of smell, great sense of in the body rhythm. And that ear for music that, you know, beautiful voice, really appreciating those things. It’s interesting. Like Venus, the fixed the Earth. Just go with those. And it’s just, it’s the underpinning, like it underpins so much.

Fernanda: Yeah, definitely.

Vanessa: When you have that and then when you go from there. I like the ownership side of Taurus. It makes me chuckle like, don’t touch their food, don’t touch their stuff. They’ve got they’ve always got the resources. I’m thinking of a Taurus friend with Sun and Moon in Taurus who was such a great travel companion because I’ve got Taurus rising and you know the travel, she had Sag rising and it was such a perfect balance. She was happy to for me to drag her around to every single vegan cafe. In LA, we went together and we’re like, we’re going to every single one and she’s fine with that she was a trained chef. She was into food, as long as we keep it moving and keep it quick because of the Sag rising. That was awesome. Fixed routine, routine is a big one as well with that fixedness. So the Sun, of course, is going to be lighting up that place where we all have Taurus in our chart, and then the other planets will come through that follow the Sun, you know, there’s Venus and Mercury, so always something each season to remember what areas being activated. What part of you that Taurus part of you? That sensual, the sensualist, that hedonist, the tycoon, perhaps your inner farmer, your inner plant mom is being activated, that that part that likes to build over the long term. I’ve got a friend I just met up with and she’s got two little kids one is and they’re classic for their sign. One is a Leo, crazy energy. Look at me look at me and one’s a Taurus, and she doesn’t know astrology. But she said in description, he’s built for comfort, not for speed, you know, because he was, like trundling along nice and slow, and the other one zipping back and forth, and back and forth, you know, and he will give this slow smile and everything was just kind of slow, he’s very happy. He’s like, really pretty as well. Just something beautiful, that kind of soft, smooth, round Taurean face. So sweet.

So one thing I wanted to mention, and we’ll get to this on the Moons is we can’t talk about Taurus without talking about Uranus. You know, we’re talking about stability. Taurus doesn’t like change. But Uranus is in Taurus for seven years since 2018, basically 2026 early. So yeah, the change in all things Taurus. So that’s something to maybe identify where those changes are happening in your life. At the moment, it’s financial, it’s that food, the instability of it as well, but make the most of it, that financial change, the digital, financial technologies. There’s just so much at the moment, all the biotech, we’re hearing so much about that. And you know, we’re midway to a little past midway, this is a long way to go. But we can really see it around us by now, with that square, the second square as well. I was thinking about it, as I was preparing this, all my points for this forecast. And I was just thinking about, you know, Saturn in square is just like, well, you can’t rush anything, like you have to take all the steps, you have to do the research, you have to do the trials, you have to go through the long and laborious tick the boxes, or you know, I’m going to kneecap you. As Saturn does. And we’ll get a bit more into that with the Moons because they’re in there, but I just wanted to bring that up as well. Have you have you got anything to say about that Uranus through Taurus?

Fernanda:  I think it’s definitely revolutionizing our values, isn’t it? Because values is another thing that I think about when it comes to Taurus. Taurus is naturally connected to the second house and to Venus as well. And I think on a deepest level of what we think when we think about our values, it’s like a life worth living, is life that’s based on your core values. And so our core values are being awakened which is a word that I really relate to Uranus as well as a kind of a wakeup call. So it’s a great time, a great period there, this seven years for us to really reassemble this and ride these waves of changes as well around that. But definitely I agree with you. I do see a lot of Taurean sort of revolutionizing you know, I saw articles on lab meat, you know, meat that has been created in labs and I feel that is very Uranus in Taurus.

Vanessa:  Classic. It’s like, ground zero for me as well that eating lab-grown meat.

Fernanda:   That is very Uranus in Taurus. But I also feel like you’re losing tourism. I relate to the housing problems as well.

Vanessa:  Yes. Yes, I’m so glad you said that. Because today I did get sidetracked. And I was looking up how the percent that houses have jumped. The cost in Australia and where’s jumped the most which city? I’ve got one house. I’m like, Oh, how much is it worth now? And I got exhausted. That’s insane. It’s crazy. And yeah, there’s just the different cities where it’s like Melbourne, the most lockdown city in the world depreciated by point 1%. Whereas where my dad lives has gone up over 50% in one year.

Fernanda: Right. It’s crazy. It is really crazy and even like electricity as well, energy. And they call it the basics of how we get our comforts, right, because the house, how we get energy, how we heat our houses, all of that is kind of a Tauran thing in a way. And so we’re having all of these prices is skyrocketing as well. And I feel that Uranus in Taurus is one of the bottom line ideas there as well is connected to climate change, I think, collectively changing how we live, because we’re going to destroy ourselves, we’re going to tip the scales too much. So yeah, the prices for the houses and the prices for electricity is kind of forcing us to think outside the box, and people are getting tiny homes. They’re getting renewable sources of energy, and things are more sustainable, because we can’t afford it anymore. Yeah, so I think that’s also connected to Uranus.

Vanessa: It’s so true. And you know, you could say, is it good? Is it bad? Like, is that a pitfall? Or is it just necessary change, like Uranus is necessary change, it’s changed, but we just have to adapt, and it will push and push. And these things will get more extreme until we just adapt, the earlier the better. But eventually, for the last few years, I’ve just said pool your resources, like the collective like pool, get a group and pool your resources. I don’t know how kids are going to afford a house. But if you do something all together and pool your resources, that could be your skills and talents as well, you can create your own, you know.

Fernanda: Which is very Uranian isn’t it?

Vanessa: Yes.

Fernanda:  The modern ruler of Aquarius, is getting communities is being more connected somehow as well.

Vanessa:  Exactly, which is how we’re meant to live anyway. And it’s better for our mental health when we’re more collaborative. So that sort of leads us to pitfalls of Taurus season so again, is it a pitfall? Or is it it’s just our perspective on it, you know? So I just had things of, you know, don’t resist essential change. So a pitfall is resisting essential change in your life or not noticing the bigger picture seeing it, but kind of avoiding it, rather than embracing and generally things like you know, the throat issues, Taurus rising even and my Taurus rising friends, will we get throat issues so much? And yeah, you’ve got to express yourself, what is that? You want to say? Who to? Yeah, if you do in that area of your life, maybe in your workplace, maybe if you’re not speaking up, that’s where it gets you. Things like that in relationship for you. Because you have on your seventh or your partner are getting a sore throat, what do you want to say? What do you think would be pitfalls of Taurus, or Taurus season?

Fernanda: I definitely think that the biggest pitfall that comes to mind with Taurus is being stuck in a rut. So it’s a little bit more you’re saying, it’s like prioritizing comfort to the to the point of no is being scared. And having some kind of phobia, which changes like no, digging your heels, and just not moving when the best thing would be to just be okay, and gracefully take that Venusian characteristic and go with it. So I think the biggest pitfall that really comes to mind is that stubbornness, digging heels down and saying, no, I am not going to change. You’re not going to bow down and I’m not going to apologize. I’m not. Yeah, I think it was Frank Clifford. Because I studied at the LSE years ago. And I loved that he used to say the fixed signs never apologize. Whereas the mutable signs will be the apologizers of zodiac, even if you didn’t do anything you just say sorry.

Just because you don’t want to just kind of be floating about and you don’t want to create any problems. Whereas the fixed signs would be like, no, like, I don’t. And I have a lot of friends with fixed signs. And when they have arguments amongst each other, you know, it takes ages for them to go and say, Oh, actually, sorry, I did this or I recognize this or so I think this could potentially be a shadow there as well. So not really recognizing or apologizing or, you know, the stubbornness. I guess we know it can be the blessing in disguise as well. It’s what makes them stay and have the willpower to see through and make things work, the stamina to see things to the end. But also it’s not as a fine line between knowing when to move on.

Vanessa: Yeah, that’s the thing, isn’t it? Like something that’s such a strength in one area of life, when misapplied is terrible. So I guess in that area of our lives and for the fixed signs, look at where you might not where you might be stopping a process, like how can you like bring some water in or something to like, get the process moving along?

Fernanda: Yeah, resist change, because that’s where Uranus is as well. Like it’s inevitable. It is a time of change in that area. It just is. Accepting that change, looking into that. Because wherever the Sun is just like a spotlight, isn’t it? It’s like a huge spotlight on that area of your life. So it’s a great time to really look at it.

Vanessa: Yeah, because it’s going to come up, you’ve got to see it, it’s going to reveal it because that brings it to consciousness. So yeah, knowing that going in, it might help just observe and notice.

Fernanda: Yeah, and assess it, access it and be like, okay, so how am I doing this area? Is it aligned with who I want to be? Am I creating the life I want to live? This sort of a little quote, and I really love it. It’s like every day you know, look at it, think about it: Does this support the life I want to create? And so this wherever the Sun is for a season it is a time where we can ask these questions like am I actually supporting the life I want to live in this area and this particular area?

Vanessa: Things to do in Taurus season? I’m thinking yes, pool your money, but also you know, the garden thing, start a community garden, start your own garden, get a bit of food security going for yourself, do a course on how to do that. Or like an arts art and crafts course because Taurus Venus is practical art. So it’s often the crafting, like pottery, or super Taurean macrame stuff. And then, you know, learn about learn about cryptocurrency, learn about this digital finance and look at what might be of interest. That’s a new opportunity for oneself. I think like you know, go organic for you guys in spring, do like a juice cleanse, things like that. Get a massage, learn to massage.

Fernanda:  Yes, definitely. I am thinking get a cookbook and do one recipe a day. That’s a good way to learn new recipes and you’re in the senses because cooking really involves all the senses you need to see, you need to smell, you need to taste. It’s very tactile because you’re touching the ingredients and the chopping and you’re mixing and so yeah, that’s an interesting thing.

Vanessa:  That’s true. Or do a course if it’s in your third or ninth or teach, teach if you have all these great recipes, maybe put together like a course.

Fernanda: Yeah, or make a little YouTube channel. Uranus in Taurus. There’s something in technology but Taurean.

Vanessa: Yeah that’s true. You’re bringing the Uranus in. Let’s go to a classic signs segment. So I’ve got David Beckham English sports icon, soccer player. He’s Taurus. Taurus rising as well. Taurus Sun, Taurus rising, Taurus Mercury. And here’s it, the endurance a 20-year career most kept. I don’t really know what that means, but it sounded good. And he, like he just seems he’s got that quality to me. He’s got that quality like Taurus, George Clooney, Gary Cooper, that charm and that smooth, stable, slow approach to things, it just makes you feel calm. Like he seems very secure in his, like sexuality, his identity, you know, so much. So he celebrates that he’s a gay icon. You know, he’s straight, but he can handle that and he quartered like a gay fanbase. He prefers to give interviews to publications that support LGBTQ+ community. And it because he’s so secure, and I feel like that’s that Taurus like he’s just stable in his life, and he’s had this long-term relationship. You know, he’s okay with being known as Mr. Posh Spice. You know, being oriented towards his relationship with his partner, his wife, rather than the other way around all the time, it seems very equal. And I always really liked that. So an interesting point about him is he has Mars in Pisces, which can get a bit of grief. And you wouldn’t think like a major sportscaster with that sort of endurance would have Mars in Pisces, but it’s trine to Saturn and Saturn stabilizes. But I think the Mars in Pisces is the bend it like Beckham magic, you know, where he can bend that ball.

And so his quote, like a couple of quotes from him, here’s one, ‘I’ve always believed, if you want to achieve something special in life, you have to work, work, work, and then work some more.’ So the Earth signs know that to get things done, you have to like work. And, you know, it’s practical, a lot of his quotes he’s just really practical. He’s got one that I thought was also very Taurus with the hedonistic side ‘Balance indulgence and exercise.’ You know, he’s not saying, cut everything out. He’s saying, like, do things that you enjoy, eat things that you like, but also, you know, move your body and also eat well, you know, but balance, like, do it, do it all. And then the third one I thought brings in his Mars in Pisces, which is ‘Don’t be like most people, most people give up on their dreams.’ Which I think it’s true because they’re afraid, but he’s just like, just go at it like, just keep going. So he, he has he’s with that Mars in Pisces, as well and maybe the practical side of Taurus he gives a lot and I guess anyone at that level gives a lot to like nonprofits and charities. He started his own charity through UNICEF, and particularly focuses on children as well to give them a good start. And I think because of that, he comes from just a like a regular family, not privilege. You know, he is down to earth, he’s salt of the earth. And the Taurus always likes to hold to their roots, and he has that understanding. So he’s been giving back a lot because of that, he’s in touch where I think a lot of people lose touch with most people or reality, a certain reality that most of us live in. He had his sports career, but then he had this off the field life as well as he would did male modeling. He was for his partnership. He was getting known for his like hair styles, because he wasn’t threatened to wear like a little headband or ponytails and, like earrings, like he’d have his little diamond earrings. And, you know, people would give him grief about it. And he just could, he could take it, just chill. I feel like there’s that yeah, that fixedness of personality. They are fixed enough to go about their own thing like to really express themselves, no matter how other people felt about it.

Fernanda: Yeah. And you know, me having a descendant in Taurus, I find that very appealing, I find that very attractive, as a characteristic in other people their capacity to be loyal. And to really extend their and not give up on you just because you had a bad day, you know, not fluctuate in their affections. They’re very loyal to their affections. And I really like that, because I find this is something that I really love about Taureans as well again, the descendant being Taurus, is that they don’t get riffed about human body or body fluids or you know, this is just normal. It’s okay, it’s normal. There’s nothing to be ashamed of or like, oh, no, you know, I think the air signs you know, they’re more like, in the air to the ideas they don’t necessarily they almost resent having a body and like having to go the toilet or having body needs or you know, and so Taureans it’s a very like, ah, that’s…

Vanessa: They are totally down with it. In fact, they don’t mind knowing a little bit about you know, personal biological routines actually is important conversation sometimes. What’s your thinking on that note? With the Uranus going through Taurus, there transhumanism stuff, it’s like this trying to disrupt the body from so many different angles. There’s that as well as other things with inventions that are coming through that are like bio technologies, disrupting the body. And yeah, just trying to get away from the body. Like that’s possible. Like we’re not our body as well. Like, that’s not part of who we are. To me, it’s med technology or science, but you know, the journey will they’ll come up with something that’s probably interesting. Even if they don’t find a goal.

Fernanda:  Yeah, or even this new technology with limbs, you know, people that lost a limb. And so they’re creating robot arms and but another level that really connects to the brain circuits. So you can really control it in that way. And I don’t know, there’s some like crazy things being into there that I really see as well as a body technology like the connection there.

Vanessa:  Absolutely. That’s what I like. I think a lot of astrologers definitely thought, we’ll be seeing that yeah, the biotechnology in the positive. I wasn’t thinking so much about the negative at the time, but we’ve definitely got some weird stuff coming through. But yeah, so that’s a real positive. So let’s go on to our monthly moons. So first, we have a new moon with a partial solar eclipse that’s at 10 degrees Taurus. It’s on April 30 eastern standard time at 4:28pm. The aspects are sextile, it’s sextile to Mars, it’s conjunct Uranus. So Uranus is at 14, so it’s four degrees off Uranus. So we’re expecting the unexpected here. And because it’s the new moon, it’s great of course for manifesting, setting the intentions the intentions for change wherever 10 degrees Taurus is in your chart around those Taurean themes in that area of your life. If you don’t have your time of birth, just do it around the Taurean themes and any aspects that it might make to your natal planets as well. So I think the Uranus is helpful on a new moon in a conjunction, because it can help you change something that you might be wanting to change or call in something that you can’t even think of just invite it in for you know, of benefit to you.

Fernanda: Yeah, it revolutionizes doesn’t it? It’s like a new cycle, because it’s a new moon so it’s the beginning of a cycle that has to do with revolutionizing something, leaving something behind so brainstorm into things that you want to leave behind because it’s also partial eclipse so what habits, what are the things in the Taurean house there that you have that that you really could do without? That you’re really kind of like okay, I’ve had enough and this isn’t working for me.

Vanessa:  Time to kick it to the curb because yeah, it’s got the eclipse on it and it’s the eclipses are going to be here for a little while. And with Uranus going through too, things are going to change. They are not going to stay the same and you probably already know what that change is so you need to just open the door or you know, I feel like you know eclipses can just kind of shove that door into your face if you don’t move. Get sideswiped by it. So it’s a handy one for that.

Fernanda:  I mean it has it’s an interesting one, because I’m looking at the chart now. The Venus rules that New Moon and Venus is conjoined Jupiter like really much a partile conjunction, they’re a very exact together at 27° Pisces and so there’s something quite healing potentially of this new cycle as well I think forgiving, letting go. I keep getting that because Neptune is trine to the south node in Scorpio for so long and for me this sense of finally forgiving something, finally letting go but like with forgiveness, not just letting go because you can’t stand anymore be like ah you know with anger but like kind of like being like right okay, thank you so much. It was great and I’ve learned so much and letting now and ready to go.

Vanessa: And maybe calling in Venus as well a relationship more beauty in your life. You know whatever that Venus in Pisces, lots of it. It’s Jupiter in there as well in Pisces that strength that’s strong actually, isn’t it? That’s quite beautiful.

Fernanda: I think is actually the degree in traditional, I mean, I’m not a traditional astrologer but 27 I think is the degree in traditional that’s the exact the exaltation of Venus. There’s something really powerful of the 27 Pisces and they’re there like meeting you know, at the exact moment of the of the new moon. So something really powerful with that Venus there for this new moon cycle as well. And I really think about inspiration. We just had the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction, we could go over or we could go and I really feel inspiration, inspiring, bringing inspiration into your life. What how would your life look like if it was more inspiring and what does that mean to you as well?

Vanessa: Yeah, I like that one. Then we have the full moon with a total lunar eclipse at 25 degrees Scorpio that’s on May 15 8:04am, Eastern Daylight Time. Let’s go to that chart. The big headline for this one of course is in that T-square with Saturn, so that Saturn-Uranus square is in there as well. But yeah, 24 so that’s squaring the moon quite strong, whereas it’s not quite catching the Sun. So not quite a T-square, it depends on what orbs you use. That’s a bit out for me, but it is squaring the full moon so well, that is so that feeling of like, maybe being blocked or something being blocked. And it’s an eclipse. So we wanted to talk a bit more about eclipses. Because when you have the ones that knock you sideways, you do sit up and start to take notice which you know, we’ve both had.

Fernanda: Exactly, if you have planets around those degrees, I’d say if you have fixed planets in your chart, between 23-27 degrees, I think that’s going to be very major, very important for you, it will be picking up that area of your life, that dimension of life that sort of presented by that personal place, especially personal planets. So if you have the Moon, the Sun, Mercury, the chart ruler, Venus, Mars in those degrees, then yes, big time, this is really important to you. And, and what like massive changes, but it’s kind of like, in a nutshell, a bigger process that you’re going through a larger change that you’re going through represented by that Saturn, that the eclipse would just go boom, you know, something that will happen around those days that might be shocking, that might be big, that might be large. But is it kind of encapsulated something longer, something on the long term that’s going through, you know, in your life, so welcome those changes, even if they might seem challenging. But what keeps going on in my mind as well as I look at the chart, it’s south node in Scorpio, it is about letting go of drama. It is about letting go of unnecessary drama of unnecessary attachments, there’s well. Unnecessary anger as well. You know, we think about the shadows of Scorpio and I looking at the Saturn as an apex to the opposition. It really makes me think of like stepping back. It’s a Saturn in its own sign in Aquarius, it is about stepping back. As challenging as that might sound when we think about Taurus and Scorpio being so connected to the instincts, so connected to the senses to, you know, being almost obsessed about their relationships, their physicality, and the physical connections and the physical passions and etc. That Saturn square to both is saying step back a little look at it from a more detached perspective, rationalize a little bit communicate in a more rational way rather than just get completely immersed and involved in it. Yeah, so this I think it’s one of the things that comes to mind with that T-square. Yeah, what do you what do you think?

Vanessa:  I really liked that idea about, you’re right with it is, it’s in Scorpio, and it’s on the south node, I’m actually thinking it could draw up, you know, the moon. I always think of the full moon as like what it does to sea life, it draws things to the surface. So it can draw these hidden emotions that maybe if you’re not so in touch can come up and the less you’re in touch, the more overwhelming it feels. And Scorpio is dramatic. It’s provocative, it brings out your inner demons are things that are difficult, difficult, it’s emotional. So with the eclipse on it, too, it could be a you know, a big bam, a little bit of a karmic bam, with the Saturn there. Yeah, that’s interesting. That’s very interesting. And I think maybe with Saturn’s commitment as well, it could bring out your issues with authority. You could, in reality, you could come up against that. I’m just thinking it, it could bring out that dynamic, whatever that is for you. So at the time, just observe, we both are like you just observe at the time knowing the astrology, you’re forewarned. If something comes up, you’re less drawn into it because you’ve got something objective to step back into. And just remember that this is a bit of it could be a bit of a climactic, you know, Scorpio can be crisis. You know, Saturn it can be authority, it could be rules, maybe you have plans and you can’t do it because everything gets shut down or you don’t want to do a certain thing that allows you to do that thing. And that’s just how the Saturn, that’s just how it is for this time, so, yeah, maybe change the plans. I also noticed is the Sun’s conjunct Mercury retrograde in Gemini at the time as well. It’s pretty wide, but it’s definitely in there. So, yeah, yeah, the different thought process thinking about things differently. It’s definitely something that might be revisited because the Mercury’s retrograde.

Fernanda: Yeah, definitely. Mercury will go direct at 26 Taurus in June, like the third of June. So we will go back to almost the very same degree of that full moon. So that will still go on to understand the few days later yeah, and communicate later as well. So don’t worry, you have time. You know, just sit with your insights, just sit with the intense emotions that might come up or whatever it is that might come up, because you have time to communicate that later. And you might change your mind as well, which is what happens with a Mercury retrograde. We think we know. And we’re really sure about what we want to say.

Vanessa: There’ll be more later through, talk it through. Well, let’s move on to the rest of the month’s headlines. There’s a few ingresses and things like that. So I think the eclipses are really part of the headlines as well. Let’s go through the ingresses first. So Taurus season does actually start on April 19, just so you know, and Pluto this month turns retrograde. That’s every year for months, but it’s at 28 degrees. And I thought that was of note because it’s going to retrograde back over the US Sun. And there’s already so much implosion there that you know it’s not over. It’s really in the thick of it at the moment. So just something to note. Okay, so Pluto backs onto the USA natal Pluto, Pluto, April 29, which is at 28 Capricorn. So it’s in the it’s in the zone the whole time but that’s when it’s exact. And that means it’s going to hit it again when it goes direct. So later on, so just know, it’s got two more coming. And we’ll see where we go with that. But yeah, transformation and purging for the US. Did you have anything to note on that? Or should we move on?

Fernanda: Well, I always think individuals, because I’m really the psychology sort of side of, you know, with my practice, and like, just if you have planets in those degrees, if you’re having a Pluto transit, that’s major for you, when Pluto goes retrograde, there’s a kind of a turning point, somehow, when a planet goes retrograde, and we’re going through a personal transit. So around those dates there, pay attention to what comes up the end of April there for you if you’re having a Pluto transit to some of your personal planets, because something that will, you can as like signs on the road. Do you know it kind of, rather than like, oh, something’s going to happen. The exact prediction of something no, it’s like a feeling is life circumstances, and they are just giving clues to you about your process. So it’s more like that, like, pay attention to that because something might be you know, coming up.

Vanessa:  And don’t ignore it. Don’t ignore it. I actually think about the people having their Pluto transit now the Capricorns particularly are people with strong points or planets in Capricorn. At the same time that it’s being expressed so clearly in the world, they must feel so caught up perhaps in events or like, it must really intensify the experience for them. It’s very interesting, I think, when I had it over Sag it you know, it was affecting flights, that was all the terrorist stuff, because it was international and Sagittarius. So that was interesting, but it still wasn’t to the degree like I don’t think any of us have in the western world have quite lived through this. So Capricorns are really doing it pretty tough. I’ve been watching a few I know and they’re, you know, they have businesses that are kind of imploding and they’re not letting go because it’s the Pluto. It’s like, just let go.

Fernanda: Survival, the survival survive. Yeah, it’s like life or death situations, or at least we feel like that.

Vanessa: Very intense. It does feel well it feels like that for all of us, too, because we’re all tapped in. So imagine someone that’s having that Capricorn personal planets or rising.  So Mercury enters Gemini on April 29. So it will be in sign but then of course, it will retrograde on May 10. So, keep an eye on that space when that happens. Of course, April 30, the new moon. May 2, we have Venus moving into Aries the sign of its opposition. So, you know, it can get a bit of grief for that. But I have to say I love Venus in Aries, because you know where you stand.

Fernanda: It’s very active. It’s like having a Venus in Aries is loving sports and physical activity.

Vanessa: And when they love you, they’re really enthusiastic about it. Like they just got it for everything they like, and they might miss the mark sometimes, but oh, well, you know, they gave it a shot.

Fernanda: Yeah, it’s like loving initiative isn’t it? Loving initiative. Venus in Aries.

Vanessa:  So we’ve got this Taurus there. And then we’ve got this Venus in Aries firing it up a little bit. And you know, being passionate about what we love and what we like and going through that area that we have Aries of course, we’ve got a Jupiter sextile Pluto on May 3. So that could just like bring out more of the Pluto stuff. Or it could you know, make it easier to process or deal with or do something actually positive with it.

Fernanda:  Yeah. It’s perspective as well, isn’t it? Jupiter is our worldview as well. So integrating a little bit of Plutonic changes into our worldview as well as one of the way opportunity.

Vanessa:  Yeah, and seeing the opportunities in everything that’s happening with that Pluto, that’s true. Mercury turns retrograde May 10. And also May 10 Jupiter enters Aries. It will leave again and retrograde back into Pisces, but it does enter Aries. So that’s exciting for all the Aries. This is your year. Coming up early Aries that’s going to hit you late Pisces, it’s still on you. I’m excited because I’ve got Moon in Aries. So I’m going to get a boost juice. So it’s in Aries to 27th of October, and then back in Pisces, and then we’ll go back into Aries. So next year, will be strong Aries. And after that, we’ve got the full moon. So that’s the main ingresses. There’s lots and lots in terms of aspects is lots and lots of sextiles there’s only one square, which is amazing. So we could be a little bit off the hook this month, just a little bit. So we’ve got all sorts of things like maybe there’s two squares, there’s the Mercury square Saturn on April 24. So you know, perhaps a block to your great idea. Don’t pitch your idea or go for a raise that day. It might be just a hard no.

Fernanda: Actually also observation there because that square will be roughly a very similar degree of that full moon eclipse. So see what comes up around that square between Mercury.

Vanessa:  That’s a good point. You could get the foreshadowing of things.

Fernanda: Later on Mercury Retrograde to those degrees as well, to the 26 degree of Taurus, but it’s quite close to that square it’s really close to whatever it is that comes up from those days. So 24 yeah, it’s interesting to keep an eye.

Vanessa: That’s true. We’ve got a really beautiful conjunction that I wanted to point out, which is April 27. Venus conjunct Pisces at 24 degrees. So that’s very beautiful. Great for go see art or music? Yeah, that’s a nice time to do some art, read something beautiful. Because it opens things up like what is your bliss? Tap into it.

Fernanda: Yeah, it’s perfect for active imagination, meditation. Anything to do with tapping transcending so watch out for substances. Yes, don’t overdo anything because Jupiter’s also there in Pisces, so we might tend to want to overdo and get lost.

Vanessa:  Yes. Don’t believe to hire someone who’s trying to impress you. They’re probably not that great, but you know, enjoy the beautiful illusion.

Fernanda: Draw, do some artwork. Really amazing day for doing it. Definitely watch a romantic movie.

Vanessa:  Romantic movie or fantasy, watch Avatar again. We’ve got Venus is sextile Pluto on May 1, Jupiter sextile Pluto May 3, Mars sextile Uranus May 4. So good for taking action that gets you out of the box or doing something new, go somewhere you’ve never been. That’d be great for people traveling take a different route. Try something new as well. But I always say check your safety gear. When Mars is doing anything with Uranus. Make sure the brakes work. Mercury sextile Venus May 6th, Sun sextile Mars May 7. So that’s just there’s like a whole bunch there. We’ve got Venus conjunct Chiron. That’s interesting May 15. So that I think with Chiron things can go either way.

Fernanda:  That’s the full moon as well, isn’t it? It’s being conjoined Chiron is part of the signature of that eclipse as well. Yes, our wounds will be highlighted around that time. This is a very powerful full moon. Around relationships. Really important too. Around give and take. Are you sacrificing? Are you sacrificing your needs, your personality for relationship attachments? Or are you taking too much? You know, the Aries? Your value, are you too selfish? Are you sacrifice your values for someone else? Like are you in touch with your values? How is that playing out?

Vanessa: And it might, it might like I find with Chiron, it made us tap the wound so that you know what that is. So again, if things are intense because it’s the full moon, just notice what comes up, maybe jot it down so you don’t just kind of forget it. And then you know what to just reflect on or tap on if you do that, or whatever you do with these things, it can be a real opportunity to get to pinpoint what it is, and an opportunity maybe to heal it in the positive to heal it or to at least have that awareness around it, which is real. I think the most invaluable part is to just even be able to identify something consciously.

Fernanda: To be able to communicate as well, because we’re talking about relating. And so it’s important to know what’s really going on with you. So you can actually communicate that and have an authentic exchange with others, I think. I don’t know from my perspective always comes down to authenticity, and really knowing your authenticity. So these different processes reflect these changes within us so we can really catch up with our authenticity and be the most authentic version of ourselves.

Vanessa: That’s true. Oh, so that’ll be interesting. I want to know what happens for everyone personally. I’m already curious. Maybe write in and let us know because I’m curious.

Fernanda: Yeah, amazing. I’d be really interested as well.

Vanessa:  We have Sun square Saturn on the 15th. The Moon with that full moon and Sun sextile Saturn Neptune. That’s nice on the full moon. May 18 that’s quite close. Mars in Pisces conjuncts Neptune in Pisces. So we’ve got planets coming through that Neptune in Pisces moment. So Mars is only hooks up every once every two years. So that’s really beautiful again, I think, because I’ve got Mars in Pisces, I’m just going to take this one. Something that I really love doing is not having a plan. And I just I used to do it in high school, I’d go to the secondhand record like alternative before that was in section in the music shop, alternative little basement music stores. And I’ll just pick things I didn’t know who they were. And they were always amazing. You know, if I’m after something, I will just be open to it and I’ll find it. I’ll just wander you know, not all who wander are lost. I’ll find what I’m looking for. It’s amazing. It’s very good for manifesting. Obviously great for art or dancing is floating again with all of that stuff. But because it’s Mars – take action with it. You know, you could donate your energy and action principle over that period to people that you know a charity or people that need help like service. Altruistic action, altruistic. Do some Reiki on someone. Receive some Reiki. But I really liked that idea of just wandering and I’ve got a friend with Mars in Sag with Neptune on her Mars too. And she does the same thing. We’ve both got lots of Sag. So traveling we just wander and find the most amazing things. So when you I like these trends like keeping an eye on these transits, because you get a sense of what these placements are when you don’t have them in your chart. And if you do astrology, it can really help you understand when you have clients with that, because you get to tap into it for that little time.

Fernanda:  Yeah, definitely. For sure is the quality of that time, isn’t it? You can feel it. You know, newspapers and etc. Because they also speak about those placements as well somehow, but yeah, very interesting. I love what you just said. Just wandering and like picking, you know, those albums and the new things. It is really intuitive way isn’t it? It’s like, it’s just intuition is just following your instincts and just going like, okay, this one.

Vanessa: Yeah, there’s no certainty whatsoever. There is no knowing at all. It’s just trusting. And it’s easier to do when you’re traveling, because you can’t pin anything down. So you’re more open. But I used to do that just before I started traveling, and it was great. You couldn’t look things up anyway, we didn’t have the internet back in the late 80s. Today, so now you know people look everything up. They look at the recommendations. There’s all this certainty.

Fernanda: It’s too easy.

Vanessa: I know the kids. It’s all the kids with the all the planets in Capricorn that they get to have that certainty. But then yeah, there’s got to be a place to let that go. Spotify, all the things. You’re letting the algorithms do it for you like just you play me or something.

Fernanda:  Yeah, true.

Vanessa:  So then we’ve got I’ll just say one more, which is the Sun is trine Pluto. Sun in Taurus, 28 trine Pluto at 28 on May 19. Pluto in Capricorn. So we’ll see what that lights up. There’s that Pluto again, is and looking at the headlines, say for the US again, that’s interesting. It might be interesting just to open up, you know, a paper like online paper that day and just sort of see what comes up. Actually, it’s a good way to learn. I like that.

Fernanda:  Yeah. And it’s interesting as well, this trine because there’s an aftermath from the full moon as well as like the Sun coming and trining Pluto and giving you an opportunity to integrate further. You know, the intensity. I mean, Pluto is the modern ruler of Scorpio. So we’ve got that ascending Taurus coming and trining it. So it’s hopeful, you know, it is it is potentially very intense, because we’re creatures of habit. And we don’t necessarily want to go with the changes sometimes. But, but it’s helpful. I think it’s very helpful aspect reflected there.

Vanessa: And it’s practical too, it’s an earth sign. So yeah, just note that and just yeah, again, just note it and go with your feeling like rather than plan. This is what I’m gonna do, maybe. So then we hit Sun into Gemini, May 20. And that’s another that’s another podcast for another time.

But I have the nonprofit promo for this month, of course, is David Beckham’s UNICEF fund is called 7.org. You can find it there. I’m just going to read the little readout that’s on that page. So David Beckham has seen just how much can be achieved when UNICEF invest in the potential of children. We want to help children around the world, especially girls break down barriers that too often steal dreams away. violence, bullying, child marriage, and missed education. The seventh fund is helping children in Indonesia, Nepal, Uganda, and El Salvador get a true chance to prove their potential and see how incredible they can be. This is the next generation of athletes and artists, engineers and entrepreneurs. They can lead their communities, they can transform their countries and they can own their dreams. So here we’re hearing all these dreams talk again, I think it’s that Mars. David knows just what it means to have the right support when you need it. He knows what it means to have people believe in you. With the right support these kids can be anything no limits, no barriers, just potential. I think that’s gorgeous. And he also has a fund for like an emergency fund for Ukraine which he’s donated to if you want to help out through that and I did look up UNICEF because I don’t usually like the really big funds but it looks like they actually are quite good. And bulk of the money does go where it’s meant to go. It goes for paying people that work obviously in the service. It doesn’t take as much as some, some do. So always check who you donate to just don’t go with the big ones, if possible, go direct, but this looks quite good. And I thought, yeah, I feel like the Taurus has done his homework basically, too, which is why he’s gone with them. So we are through to our key takeaway and monthly mantra. So do you have a key takeaway for Taurus season, Fernanda?

Fernanda: Well, I think it’s be with your senses. I really feel that this is just it’s such a lesson when we’re like, so stuck in the future or the past, and we’re overthinking things. And we’re like, spending a lot of time on the screens and internet and a lot of that, and I think Taurus is the best for you to take a little break. Be with your senses, remember, you’ve got a body, you’re a human.

Vanessa:  Remember, you’ve got a body and not just a face, a head.

Fernanda: Not just the brain, exactly. Kind of leave that to Gemini season. And just be with your body. Be in nature. Appreciate the silence. Appreciate, you know, the senses more, I think that’s it.

Vanessa:  I’m gonna go with that too. Like, love your body. Give your body some love, like some appreciation. And brilliant. Yeah. And just get feel like get into your senses.

Fernanda: And surfing the waves of change. Surfing the eclipse season. The body that helps you to surf that.

Vanessa:  So trust your body, be in it and trust your body. That’s the other my other takeaway trust your body. Listen to that thing. It’s telling you something.

Fernanda: Yeah, yeah, definitely.

Vanessa:  So that’s, you know, that’s the heart intelligence and all of that, you’ve got to take that on. So monthly mantra. So I always have so many, I’ll just read one or two, I easily use my resourcefulness to make the most of every situation and challenge. I handle my resources in ways that are in my overall best interests. So the next section is we’re coming up to wrap up what’s on your coffee table, Fernanda? What book are you reading at the moment or do you have to share with us today?

Fernanda:  Yes, and it’s actually quite Taurean. And I’m usually reading a lot of stuff like it connected to my MA so like, very fascinating, but boring stuff to what we’re doing right now. Because they’re more like qualitative research methods. But I’m actually beginning to read Rich Dad Poor Dad, which is a very Taurean.

Vanessa:  Read that when I was quite young. Yeah, that is 1995.

Fernanda: I mean, I’ve read something before, which is like Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, which is usually they’re definitely not things that I pick. But my partner was got with Taurus. Venus in Taurus has been like really supportive. I’ve been like taking my astrology practice to another step. And I’ve been doing a lot of things, a lot of work. And, and obviously Virgos with loads of things in Virgo being really struggling with this, you know, with the mind set, and, you know, the self worth and all of that kind of stuff. So, it’s been really helpful, definitely, very much in the Taurean season, Taurean and, you know, being in the world, knowing how to price your things, knowing your self worth, and changing our mindset as well. I feel like I’ve always been very aware of like ah changing mindset in relationships and changing mindset, and how you present yourself into the world or how you see yourself and et cetera. But I never thought that money also holds a mindset. Exactly the way that your parents raised you also, conditioned you to relate to money in a certain way. So letting go of these conditionings are also part of your healing journey. So this is what I’ve been working with my progressed ascendant in Capricorn. I’ve been working on that side of things like you know, deep conditioning on the material level.

Vanessa: I think that’s a great suggestion for Taurus season. You know, those are classic. It’s almost one of those classic books that you know, Think and Grow Rich and you know, that a lot of people go for and who, you know, has inspired a lot of the more modern books, but yeah, Rich Dad Poor Dad helped me even more so realize that I did. You don’t know what you don’t know. And I think he said something in there like, you know, it’s what is an investment and what is just it’s not so some people think having like a car is an investment but it’s not because it depreciates so he said, You know, I might have stacks of cash, but I’m gonna drive a crappy car because I’m not going to waste money that needs to grow. So the Taurus side of money is about growth, whether it’s steady or rapid, currently rapid ups and downs with the cryptocurrency because of the instability of Uranus, but it’s that growth. And I’ve really I took a lot of that book on board, actually,

Fernanda: Yeah, exactly make your money work for you. It’s like, a completely different mindset as well, rather than just making money, like saving money or spending money on things to grow, to make that money work for you. Because the ultimate goal is to have a fulfilling life and this as my ultimate law, and to be free to do the things I actually really want to do. And I really believe in it, rather than be, you know, in that sort of rat race, like worrying about material life. So it’s an interesting way of looking at it. And I took it for granted for years, you know, because it was like, Ah, I don’t believe in any of that. And I don’t want to think about it of that, I want to be free and like not care about the material world. But well, we are in the material, we need to make the most of it. We need to know how to juggle resources and like how to make the most of our resources, so we can have a fulfilling life. Yeah, which is the point is, like, be fulfilled and the best that you can be and offer your gifts to the world in that era. But in order for you to do that, you need to navigate the world.

Vanessa:  So and with Uranus in Taurus, there’s so many different ways opening up that that could be you know, there’s so many different ways to of things that we’re realizing we can value or that we need to value and different ways that we can do that. So it’s a lot of opportunity to get into that, I think, well, I have gone back to my Brene Brown, and she’s got so many books that just keep coming out. So I’m going to suggest Dare to Lead – Brave Work, Tough Conversations, Whole Hearts. Brene Brown. So she says about this one, she has taught us already how it means to dare greatly, or what it means to dare greatly rise strong and brave the wilderness now based on new research conducted with leaders, changemakers and culture shifters, she’s showing us how to put those ideas into practice so we can step up and lead. She writes, one of the most important findings of my career is that courage can be taught, developed and measured. Courage is a collection of four skill sets supported by 28 behaviors. All it requires is a commitment to doing bold work, having tough conversations and showing up with our whole hearts. Easy? No. Choosing courage over comfort is not easy. Worth it? Always. We want to be brave with our lives and work. It’s why we’re here. So that’s going back to that idea of like, you can learn things you can, you know, look at different mindsets, she’s gone and asked these people well, how do you do it? What’s been working? I love that she throws in some interesting, you know, data and statistics as well. But you know, she’s done the work for us. And she brings it back. And I think that’s really interesting. And I think a lot of people have benefited from those shifts, and just awarenesses and different ways that you can do things.

So we’re going to wrap up to what we’ve coming up with what we’ve got coming out. I’m going to start with Astrology University, and we’ll pass it to you, Fernanda and then I’ll wrap that up. So let’s go to astrologyuniversity.com, go to the events page, and just scroll through the webinars there. So what we do have coming up on April 30 or actually April 23 is a Mundane Economic Outlook – Inflation and Geocosmics goes quite well with Taurus season, what we’ve just been talking about. So that could be one of those things to do in Taurus season actually, and just kind of catch up with that. So Gianni has done a couple actually on cryptocurrency if anyone’s interested to go and check those out as well on Astrology University. We’ve got How to Interpret Your T-square, also perfect. April 30. That’s with Tony. And April 25 to May 20. So that’s a course Counseling Tools for Challenging Aspects. Like I’m a great supporter of learning some counseling skills for anyone that is going to see clients. Essential, essential. I personally benefited a lot from doing a counseling course. And yeah, it’s a difficult challenging aspects that you know, it’s one thing to point them out. It’s another well what thing to be like well, then now what now what do we do about it? With this person we’ve just excavated all this with, well, that’s come to us already excavated. So May 4, we’ve got on May 4 to 29 we’ve got The Houses – Exploration and Application and that’s with Kelly Surtees and Tony Howard together on May 4 to 29. And other course we have Timing Development with Progressions and that’s with Kelly Surtees and Darby Costello. So yeah, timing, progressions are very interesting. We were talking about them before, I highly recommend getting on to those as well as transits. May 14 to May 29 Myth and Modern Astrology with Jason Holley, who co-hosted on Aries season. He is great with the mythologies. So and very funny. So definitely jump onto that, if you want to learn more about the myth. Fernanda, what have you got coming up that you would like to share with us?

Fernanda:  So I have this talk on Finding Astrology Themes in the Chart, which I really like I’ve given it a few times. And I really love that topic. And I usually use audience’s chart. So if you’re not a Portuguese speaker, don’t worry, because I’m giving the same talk in English on the 28th of May. For the Niagara Astrology Group, I think which is a Canadian group, they are doing an event actually, I think is on the 28th of May. And that will be finding themes in the horoscope. So it’s basically this idea of like, we always have to pick apart charts, but there is a moment that we need to look at it as a whole. So how does that happen? And how do we do that? And is there a way to facilitate that process. So if you’re interested in that, and I usually use audiences charts because I find it more interesting. There’s a little bit more you’re saying there when it’s when you’re like, well, we don’t know what happens behind the scenes. And you know, we look at the celebrities’ charts and how they present themselves out there in the world, we don’t really know about their inner processes. So I find very interesting to look into audiences. And this is what I’m doing. As far as I you know, there are lots of other things coming up as well. But this is kind of further, you know, 2nd of June I’m giving a talk to Aquarius Seven, about the Ukraine situation. I’ve given that talk as well another group, which went really well, the Birmingham Astrology Group. And it’s, you know, it has more research, I have a degree in history. So it’s not just the mundane aspect, but also, yeah, yeah, the chart of NATO, the chart of the Cold War, the chart, you know, I kind of brought a lot of different charts together and did a lot of academic research on Russia and Ukraine. So that’s very interesting. So if you’re interested in that, and my website is www dot fernandapaiva.co. So you can just have a look at the website. I’ve got my blog there. I’ve got links to my social medias as well, I’m doing a YouTube channel as well, etc. So you can get in touch with me as well and find out about other things as well that I can’t think of right now.

Vanessa: Excellent. Thank you. So go check out Fernanda’s site, hitchhiking the stars you called as well and see what she’s up to. And check out the events page and jump into some webinars or like even better a course at Astrology University. I am I’m doing readings Mondays and Tuesdays, Sundays. I think that’s Mondays in the US at Astro All Starz.com, Vanessa Montgomery. I’m not doing any talks because I keep thinking I don’t want to prepare a talk when I could do something bigger. So I’m resisting the urge to put things together quickly, which you know, is difficult because I really get inspired and I just want to do it right? No, progressed Sun’s in Capricorn, you gotta go the long haul. Of course, there’s my books. The third one currently is with the book designer. So I’ll get that back soon and see what she’s done with it. It’s just all in that process back and forth at this stage. So yeah, readings, or choose the annual once a month check in or on the quarter cross. There’s those options as well and have a wonderful Taurus season. Sensual, beautiful, enjoy some yummy food, roll around on the grass unless you’re allergic. Thank you so much, Fernanda for coming, you were a pleasure. And enjoy. It was so good to meet you stay on there because I’m just going to press stop here. And everyone else stay cosmic.
